UBC group plans to setup a urea production unit in Andhra Pradesh

New urea investment policy finally started attracting new investment in fertilizer sector. UBC group is going to invest Rs 10000 crore in Andhra Pradesh to setup a mega size urea production unit. This proposed urea unit will come up under the UBC Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (UFCL).
UBC group is a professionally managed conglomerate having VBC Ferro Alloyes Limited, VBC Industries Limited, Konseema Gas Power Limited, Orissa Power Consortium Limited etc. under its umbrella.

The proposed complex will comprise Urea (2×3850) mtpd, Ammonia (2×2200) mtpd, Nitric Acid (2×400) mtpd and Ammonium Nitrate Explosive (2×500) mtpd. The feed stock for the production will be natural gas. A coal based captive power plant (CPP) of (2×67.5) MW capacity will also be come up in the complex.
The proposed plant will come up at Jaggayyapet in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. Natural gas pipeline, railway line, national highway and Krishna river all are not far away from the proposed site.
Urea manufactured in this plant will be available to the farmers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Orisa.
